Comparison
HitchGuardian vs Workhub
Workhub is a safety training and compliance management platform widely used in Western Canadian oilfield and construction. It manages training records, delivers online safety courses, and tracks certification expiry. HitchGuardian is integrated with Workhub. They are not competitors; they are complementary systems that own different parts of the crew-readiness workflow. Workhub owns the training record. HitchGuardian verifies the training record against the assignment before the truck rolls. This page explains what each tool does and when you need one, the other, or both.

When Workhub is the right call
If your primary need is managing safety training records, delivering online safety courses to your workforce, and tracking certification expiry for compliance reporting, Workhub is a proven platform. Operators who have a coordinator who never misses a cert at dispatch but who need a centralized system for training delivery and record-keeping get more out of Workhub alone than they would out of HitchGuardian alone. Many of our prospects already run Workhub. We do not ask them to replace it.
When HitchGuardian is the better fit
If the failure that costs you money is the wrong crew rolling out at 5:30 AM with an expired H2S Alive or no confined space clearance for the job, the training record alone does not prevent that. Workhub stores the cert. HitchGuardian checks the cert against the specific job requirements and flags the gap before the truck rolls. The two systems are strongest together: Workhub as the training record, HitchGuardian as the dispatch gate that verifies the record against the assignment.
